Riann Maltese may not be a familiar name to most, but a large percentage of the resident population has probably at least seen her work at one time or other, as she is the creator of what may be the most popular line of playroom furniture in SL. Another creation of hers is her personal region that is spooky, mysterious, and extremely fun to explore and roleplay in. The SIM goes by the same name as her line of products ... DEVIANT.
There are various interpret -ations of "fun" in a place like Second Life. It's fun to shop; it's fun to explore; it's fun to build; it's fun to get together with friends and chat; it's fun to, you know [wink, wink, nudge, nudge]; and for those who appreciate the artistic side of a graphics environment and the time and effort that goes into creating a unique space, it's fun to wander around in a great build.
Planet of Taris &Furious Star Wars Avatars
This amazingly made sim is not only a Star Wars themed store, but an entire Star Wars rp sim. You too can live the live of a Jedi Knight, or live on the dark side of the Empire.
Creator, Furia Freeloader has not let us down with this build and creation. Thank you Furia! (You may remember her froml LM of the Day of M.C. Escher's Relativity House)
While the Kingdom of Sand is an Arabian role playing sim, I was just astounded by its beauty in the builds. Their website explains the ins and outs of the game. If you want to participate or even if you just want to visit I highly recommend visiting their information as there are rules for each type of visitor. Lem Skall, SL Things to Do member kindly took these breathtaking photos while standing in for the vacationing Araucano Janus.
Dinosaur Park is "Jurassiac Park meets Second Life"! This place was completely fasicinating to me and my friends the first time we went. I went by later on by myself to explore a little on my own, and found that it's really a lot more than just a
Antiquity Texas is quite a build! It's an 1800s period sim. The capitol building is very detailed on the outside, and the inside there are historical pictures of Texan officials, as well as shops and period pieces. It is a role playing sim, and I've pasted a notecard with the information from the creator. Enjoy your look at Antiquity Texas today. Thank you Fearchar Enoch for recommending this site, and I'm sorry I had forgotten it was you!
Here's a notecard detailing the informtation from creators, Pixapao Xeno, President of Texas' Jocho Cortes, General of the Texas Army; and Jacon Cortes, Texas Attorney General!
If you haven't noticed, I'm on vacation, and I'm taking advantage of the wonderful notecards that land owners send to me regarding their sims. Today's LM of the Day comes from Kristofer Tenk.
The Realm of Skinrad is a completely authentic medieval sim. Meaning Skinrad is straight out of the history books. Every detail that is possible to make authentic, is authentic. There is a tavern for the citizens of Skinrad to spend their time, and many positions open in the realm for people to role play day to day life, as it was lived in 15th Century England.
Grendel's Children is gigantic! There are many things to see here, and buy, but one of the attractions at Avaria (and it's 4 neighboring sims) is to hatch your own Drakelet Egg. The eggs cost L$30 and you get a harness with a nest for the egg. Then you wander out to various points in the sims and pass by items that activate your egg, eventually (about 30 minutes)hatching into your very own Drakelet! Each Drakelet is different, its look is based on where it was hatched in the sims.
