Serenite,
and it's neighboring sim Annwn, are based on the Celtic countrysides of Ireland and Scotland. Annwn is a creative sandbox for the sim owner, holding a surreal feel at times, while Serenite follows more traditional sensibilities - but the two are so in tune you may never notice when you pass from one to the other. I highly recommend you walk, not fly, when you explore these sims; there are so many nooks and hidden places that you simply cannot see from the air. Enjoy the pirate ship, find the hidden crystal cave ... and what's that at the bottom of the well?

According to Wagner James Au, Second Life is "...an Impression Society,
where any cultural, economic, or social contribution is valued in
direct proportion to its organic creative flair and sustained
effects." In other words, appearance is everything.

Students from the University of West Scotland's Collaborative Virtual Environments Class have created a build at VirtuALBA that showcase three immersive exhibits.
Today's Around the World in 80 Landmarks is the beautiful garden, Kenroku , located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan. This garden was created for the clan who ruled the Kaga Family. Today is the start of a special Sunday series called "Around the World in 80 Landmarks". We're starting it off a region where the whole world is present. Every continent is represented in pictures and builds. The aerial view is actually a rainbow circling around the earth as terraformed by the creator!
