Last week I reported on something new so this week I'm focusing on something that's been around for a while -- Comcast Island (aka, Comcastic!).
Most corporate regions are pretty tame; an impressive building or two, some information booths, maybe a few souvenir kiosks, and a meeting area (auditorium or conference rooms). Decidedly different, Comcastic! is all about two things: entertainment and SPEED. Not surprisingly, the focus of all the attractions on Comcastic! is going fast. Their mission, after all, is to associate their brand with speed in your mind. To that end they have provided a variety of attractions all focused on racing competitions.
While the Kingdom of Sand is an Arabian role playing sim, I was just astounded by its beauty in the builds. Their website explains the ins and outs of the game. If you want to participate or even if you just want to visit I highly recommend visiting their information as there are rules for each type of visitor. Lem Skall, SL Things to Do member kindly took these breathtaking photos while standing in for the vacationing Araucano Janus.

Hey everyone, not sure if you'd seen the 7Seas Fishing yet, but it's really a fun game within SL...you can catch all kinds of neat things, and collect them into an aquarium or just wear them as shoulder art! I have put a place available for you if you're already a user of the 7Seas items, and if you're not you can get your rod here and fish away! I'll be holding contests on Wednesday and Thursday nights from 6-7 pm slt,...For more info about 7Seas please see http://www.7seasfishing.com/
Kiana Writer and friends, Maya Platthy, Stray Underwood, Loch Harlan, Twstd Ruggles, and Gypsy Paz have created a wonderful game in Second Life called Zodiac Killer. Here you will have a hunt to find the killer of 12 people.
Today's LM of the Day was sent to me by group member Erin Burks. Her amazing sim, Liquid Heat is described in this letter to SL Things to Do. If you've been in the group for a while, you may remember back in October, when we featured Liquid Heat's Halloween sim! Thank you Erin for pointing out this wonderful build, and reminding me that it's not only for Halloween!! I know we'll enjoy visiting all the features of Liquid Heat! *Please note--the pictures and the paragraphs they are next to do not necessarily represent one another!
La Musique's game area is really a fun place to join friends for a quick backgammon challenge and other fun games! I havent' explored here but Sloan Skjellerup told me that it's worthy for a LM of the Day!
This post is a bit shorter than my usual, as I'm currently rushed off my feet preparing for the (OMG it starts tomorrow) vBusiness Expo!
Grendel's Children is gigantic! There are many things to see here, and buy, but one of the attractions at Avaria (and it's 4 neighboring sims) is to hatch your own Drakelet Egg. The eggs cost L$30 and you get a harness with a nest for the egg. Then you wander out to various points in the sims and pass by items that activate your egg, eventually (about 30 minutes)hatching into your very own Drakelet! Each Drakelet is different, its look is based on where it was hatched in the sims.
Ever want to be Pac-Man? Well you can do it here at Intoman Games. Creators Ann and Flemming Congrejo describe this game as a wonderful experiment to "move the boundaries in SL a bit"! Come play this game soon! Thanks Ann and Flemming for the warm welcome and introduction to such a fun game! Thanks Onder Skall for telling me about this great place, and for writing such a great write up about how to play!
Games, Games and More Games!! Thanks Sloan Skjellerup for showing me this fun place! What a great place to come play with lots of different games. Checkers, Simon, Memory (aka concentration), Mancala, Chess, Suduko, and more! You can play here, or just go here to buy for your own area! Bring your friends along to play!
