Liquid Heat

Today's LM of the Day was sent to me by group member Erin Burks. Her amazing sim, Liquid Heat is described in this letter to SL Things to Do. If you've been in the group for a while, you may remember back in October, when we featured Liquid Heat's Halloween sim! Thank you Erin for pointing out this wonderful build, and reminding me that it's not only for Halloween!! I know we'll enjoy visiting all the features of Liquid Heat! *Please note--the pictures and the paragraphs they are next to do not necessarily represent one another!

There is so much to do at Liquid Heat, Slade and I both love looking at beautiful sims, but it's not much fun if there isn't anything to do there, so we put extra effort into integrating fun things to do at the sims that we build.

1) Take a balloon ride - The balloon ride starts near the Ship in the Pirate Village, just click on a poseball to sit and once everyone is aboard, click anywhere on the balloon to start the tour. The tour covers the entire sim and gives a brief story about some key areas.

2) Shop for clothes and prefabs - Nearly everything on the sim is designed and created by Slade and myself. Most things are for sale and available in Ye Olde Shoppe (and a lot more things that you won't see on the sim) in the Pirate Village or at our demo area where you can rez builds and walk through them. We also now accept the MetaCard. You can purchase clothes that Slade has designed in the Booty for Beauties store in the Pirate Village.

3) Visit with friends in the tavern - The Cork and Pig in the Pirate Village can be a fun place to hang out, it has a warm cozy atmosphere for gatherings of any size.

4) Take the Elvinator up to the castle - At the top of the hill by Moonvale, close to the largest mountain you'll find an unusual elevator. We call it the Elvinator, it's covered in some type of Elvish scroll and looks beautiful at night, just sit on the poseballs and when everyone is aboard click anywhere on the Elvinator to start your ride up. Take a look at the view of the sim from the top, it's really breathtaking and a great spot for pictures.

5) Play Khet in Moonvale - I found this game while visiting K.R. Engineering and just had to have it. If you like Chess (even if you don't) I think you'll love Khet. Just click on the board and select help to get a notecard about how to play.

6) Take a romantic boat ride around Moonvale Lake - The trip may not be long, but you will see some of the most magical places on the sim on your tour around Moonvale Lake. Moonvale itself is a bit of a mystery, a strange land where everything has a blue hue to it as if it has been infused with moonlight.

7) Bungee Jump (we call it Lover's Leap) - Ok, I will admit this is my absolute favourite part of the sim. I will also admit that although, yes I know this is SL, I was still nervous on my first jump. In the middle of the bridge between Felguarde Keep and the ruins you will find the Bungee Jump, just click and sit on the red ball and get ready.

8) Take a ride on the Trebuchet - Find the Trebuchet in Felguarde Keep and climb aboard and type "Fire" (without the quotations) and hit enter, it gives you a really quick view of the sim :-).

9) Free events. We have live music events, tarot reading, story reading, quests, treasure hunts and more. Join our group to get notified when these events will be happening.

10) Romantic points of interest - We have set out couples poseballs in various especially romantic spots throughout the sim.

11) Explore - The very best way to see Liquid Heat is to walk, our suggested route is to start with the Pirate Village, then go up the plank near the balloon ride and through the cave. There is a walkway to get up to Moonvale right by the water. Explore Moonvale, then go back up the hill and take the Elvinator up to the castle. Wander through Felguarde Keep and back across the bridge to the ruins.

Thank you for that wonderful description Erin!
