Brooklyn is Watching

Brooklyn is Watching an amazing art installation! This finally answers the question, who outside of SL gets to see the amazing creations we see when we're in world--and the answer is BROOKLYN!

The project started when RL artist Jay Van Buren brought his idea to Second Life...make a place where people can see and watch the art of SL while SL residents interact with the installation. A giant fish bowl so to speak. For more information on the project see the Brooklyn is Watching website--complete with podcasts about the RL/SL artistic collaboration.
Here's an excerpt from their "About" page:

"Brooklyn is Watching is a project that exists partially in Second Life and partially in Jack the Pelican Presents, an art gallery in the williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.

The view from the project’s avatar, Monet, an eyeball who lives in the tower,
will be on a large flat screen monitor in the Gallery at all times.
Visitors to the gallery will be able to control Monet and use him to
watch whatever happens in front of the tower.

Second Life residents! Come to Brooklyn is Watching
and do…. something or leave something there for us. Then email
watchable@brooklyniswatching.com to send links to images (or videos) of
whatever you’ve done in front of the tower.

This blog will chronicle whatever happens and the podcast will
feature our panel discussing whatever is most fun to argue about. More
detailed description : “What is Brooklyn is Watching“."

Go and add your mark, let them know you were there, and see what ensues! Have a great weekend!
