Survivors of Suicide Art Exhibit

My friend, Krissy Sinclair is a wonderful artist. Not only do her works evoke emotions, awe and thought, but her newest work has brought forth a community. Survivors of Suicide, in world, is an immersive tool/exhibit designed to educate and support those who have been touched by the devastating effects of suicide. Her gallery is two-fold. Krissy states it best in her notecard:

"This immersive build is meant to evoke discussion and support.  I created this for those we have lost to suicide, those who survived their attempt of suicide and those of us who have lost someone to suicide. Part one is meant to help those who have not attempted to understand what it feels like to feel the need to take ones life. Part two is meant to share information and support from around the web. It will provide a place to talk and bring one of the last issues that still hides in many closets a place to see the light."

The entire build is built to teach you something. Every item is click-able and gives a statistic about suicide or survival. Not only does this exhibit offer information, it leads people to resources best fit for their needs, whether it be support for family and friends of those who have died due to suicide or help for those considering suicide. This location could offer some you know a place for outreach.

Krissy has also opened a group in-world for those "willing to work on the development of an immersive educational exhibits on mental illness & suicide prevention." Friends and family of those who have lost to suicide or suicide survivors are invited to join this in world group where they can post poems, writing and art.
