Bentham Manor and Bentham Forest

During the month of October, I receive many requests to come see the plethora of haunted sims that come to life in Second Life. In addition there are many hunts that help us find spooky places and items to decorate our own homes and sims to prepare for the tricks and treats of the season, however there is usually one place each year that sticks out as a favorite.

This year, I am visiting a place, two places in fact, that are not only open during the fright season, but opened year round keeping the theme intact, not just for October. Bentham Forest, a recently added homestead owned by Lauren Bentham, and Bentham Manor are these two places, although they are separate, I am treating them as one LM of the Day.

I was particularly captivated by Bentham Forest and its quality of spookiness! Creator, Andrek Lowell, has really done a fine job of making us feel as if we were lost in a place that we might not ever be found again! There are items hidden here, and while wandering and exploring you might find them, but it is not tied to any deliberate hunt or game.

I highly recommend checking out both of these places while the season of haunting is here, but remember that you can come back here year round to find a fog-engulfed forest, haunted manor, and other spooky treats and tricks.

This You Tube video, from Dimitrio Lewis,  gives you a beautiful look at Bentham Forest.

I really would love if you could add your pictures to this group on the SLTTD Flickr page. I have been out of world too much to get the great snapshots that I usually love to get for the site, and your pictures would be a great addition to this page!
