Today's Around the World in 80 Landmarks is the beautiful garden, Kenroku , located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, Japan. This garden was created for the clan who ruled the Kaga Family. In real life the garden is open all year and is renounded for its year round beauty. The centerpiece of the real garden is the Kanazawa Castle.
The gardens were formed around this and as two centuries went by it became complete. The name is derived from the six features of ideal landscape: spaciousness, seclusion, artiface, antiquity, waterways, and panoramas. There are over over 8750 trees and 183 different plant varieties represented in Kenroku.
As in Real life, the SL version of this garden goes through each season. Some of the most beautiful pictures I've found were at http://www.reggie.net/photo.php?albid=634&ph=2737341
