Well, I've literally been to Hell and back for this LM of the Day!! Well SL Hell anyway. In fact, it's best if you do die and go to hell in this sim because you experience more of the whole place! This place is "Beetlejuice meets Disney World." It's Rezzable's Carnival of Doom - Last Ride of your Life, where "the rides are deadly, [and] you may be resurrected from the dead to try again" Please also visit, SL Things to Do group member, Lem Skall's Flickr pictures of Carnival of Doom!
Beatrix Newt and Alejandro Rosenthal built and scripted, respectively, Carnival of Doom. They give out this notecard at the landing point, where you pick up your "ticket". Your ticket is actually a HUD that enables all the items at the carnival to interact with you.
After putting on my ticket HUD, I arrived near a ride that delivered me immediately to hell. I was in the "waiting room" and was finally regenerated so I walked through the hall of mirrors to tp out back to the carnival grounds. I continue to wander and enjoy the rides, food and watching my health decline with each thing i ate!!! The folks at Rezzable continue to amaze me with their imagination. Even though this is not a new sim, it has been totally bug fixed for Havok 4, so you will be able to enjoy all the rides!
(This is the help notecard for the Carnival of Doom HUD.)
The HUD is simple to use; just wear it! There are no commands. The HUD is used to communicate with rides and other
interactive elements of the region. It is also used as a health/life status monitor. If your health hits 0, you die! There are
many ways to receive damage here, but we're not going to tell you what they are. That would take away the fun of exploring!
We will, however, tell you what happens when you "die." You will be transported to a special area of the region and held there
until you have "regenerated." Any attempts to leave will result in you being pulled back. Also, any damage received will cause
your health to slowly regenerate (assuming it is greater than 0 and less than 100). The time and amount of regeneration is slow,
but not too slow.
You will also not be able to use any of the rides or activities here without the HUD worn. Just right click and choose "Wear"
from your inventory. Changing the HUD attachment point may result in the HUD going out of alignment and/or rotation. This
can easily be fixed by right clicking on it and choosing "Edit." From there you can adjust the position and rotation.
Good luck exploring. Remember, this HUD must be worn at all times while inside this region or nothing will work for you!
Have fun!
NOTICE: Please remove weapons and shields to have more fun! weapons and shields make games not work :( Also note that
